Chris & Sarah Flanagan, Elder

Chris became an Elder at Calvary in Oct. 2023 after being ordained in 2004. He's passionate about the Bible and co-teaches “Word Wednesdays” and “Bereans.” Chris also creates background videos for each study, available on the Talmidim Way YouTube channel.

Chris loves studying the Bible and visiting Bible lands. He's passionate about Calvary's Del Rio, home groups, and recovery ministries. He also occasionally plays guitar for the worship team.

Chris and Sarah met while working at the same hospital in Mission Viejo, CA, and were married in 1996. They first came to Texas in 2007, but in 2021, they left the suburbs behind and moved to the Lake Bonham area.

Chris is also in Healthcare Management, as a consultant specializing in regulatory compliance. He and Sarah have two adult sons, Aidan, who lives in Waco, and Brendan, who lives in Denton. Chris has a BA in Music from USC and an MS in Healthcare Administration from CSU, Long Beach.
